3L News: Free Agents File

Today is the first day of the free agency period.
With the arrival of free agency comes the opportunity for each club across Menard's Third League to propel themselves into the playoffs simply by making a few shrewd, well-calculated signings. General managers have to choose wisely where to spend their dollars. An expensive signing could be the key to a playoff spot or it could handcuff a franchise for years to come.
This year's key free agents include:
Bill Burgess, 31 year-old RF
Iván Pérez, 30 year-old C
Pedro Ritodíaz, 32 year-old RH SP
Aurelio Vázquez, 33 year-old 1B
Bryan Manning, 41 year-old 1B
Ramón Cabral, 26 year-old 3B
Keith Bridges, 30 year-old RF
Ed Anderson, 35 year-old SS
Carl Good, 34 year-old RF
Ryan Davis, 33 year-old RH SP
Each GM has a different approach to free agency. Many fans enjoy this offseason maneuvering just as much as the regular season as they watch to see how the face of their team changes over the next several months.

3L News: Draft Pool Revealed

Menard's Third League officials have today announced the list of players eligible for the 2020 first-year player draft. Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool for 65 days before the draft is held.
Also, the Transactions page gets a new section dedicated to the pool.
The top players available (in no particular order) seem to be:
1. Scott William, 23 year-old RHP out of college.
2. Jon Briddon, 21 year-old CF out of college.
3. Rafael Arredondo, 22 year-old CF out of college.
4. Wes Shannon, 19 year-old CF out of high-school.
5. John Woods, 19 year-old RHP out of high-school.
6. Shawn Williams, 18 year-old RHP out of high-school.
7. William MacKnight, 21 year-old RHP out of college.
8. Victor Adams, 19 year-old LF out of high-school.
9. Cliff Aldridge, 21 year-old RF out of college.
10. Dave Turner, 19 year-old RHP out of high-school.
