SL News: Draft Pool Revealed

The list of players who have declared for the first-year player draft was announced earlier today. BNN will have special coverage dedicated to this draft. Just look in the transaction section for the special page dedicated to the young players hoping to make a name for themselves in the show.
Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool for 65 days before the draft is held.
The early favorites to be high picks are the following:
1. Ken Buckley, 18 year-old C out of high-school.
2. Don Weaver, 21 year-old SS out of college.
3. Robert Price, 20 year-old CF out of college.
4. Larry Kapp, 22 year-old SS out of college.
5. Cameron Page, 17 year-old CF out of high-school.
6. José Adams, 18 year-old CF out of high-school.
7. Justin Jacobson, 20 year-old LF out of college.
8. Nathan Dixon, 18 year-old SS out of high-school.
9. Greg Hudson, 17 year-old 1B out of high-school.
10. Ron Frazier, 20 year-old SS out of college.

Broken Glass Cuts Mockingbirds Méndez

Mockingbirds first baseman António Méndez received medical attention yesterday after accidentally cutting himself at his home. Méndez was apparently cleaning up broken glass from a shattered window when he sliced his right hand on a jagged shard. The cut required 10 stitches and will reportedly keep Méndez out of action for about 2 weeks.
