Gonzáles Raises Awareness at Local Animal Shelter

Voodoo starting pitcher and noted animal rights activist Mario Gonzáles appeared at a local animal shelter today. Gonzáles visited the shelter to help call attention to the cause of pet adoption. "These animals desperately need to be taken in by loving families," said the popular New Orleans player as he cradled a small puppy. "Many of these little guys were unwanted and abandoned. I just want to use my status in the community to help find good homes for them." Gonzáles, who is a member of PETA, has long been a spokesman for the organization and is a noted advocate for animal protection.

PL News: Draft Pool Revealed

The deadline has passed for players to declare for the first-year player draft. United States Premier League officials have released a list to all teams with players who can be chosen on draft day. Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool for 65 days before the draft is held.
The Transactions page of the BNN site has been updated to provide everyone a glimpse at the youngsters hoping to become the next baseball legends.
The early favorites to be high picks are the following:
