3L News: Draft Pool Revealed

Scouts have begun to salivate. The list of players for the first-year player draft has been released by the league office and speculation is already beginning about who will end up as the first pick. The list has been posted under the transaction section of the BNN site and will be there for the next 30 days leading up to draft day.
Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool 65 days before the draft is held.
The top players available (in no particular order) seem to be:
1. Michael Bradford, 20 year-old RHP out of college.
2. Stephen Lawson, 20 year-old RHP out of college.
3. Tom Pollard, 20 year-old CF out of college.
4. Ralph Greer, 22 year-old LHP out of college.
5. Glenn Suggett, 18 year-old RHP out of high-school.
6. Bob Bolen, 20 year-old LHP out of college.
7. Jeff Cooper, 18 year-old RHP out of high-school.

More Woes For 1837 BBC Phil Sherman

Houston got some bad news today concerning catcher Phil Sherman. He is recovering from an undisclosed injury. Club doctors have extended his time of return to 2 weeks, saying his injury has not responded well to treatment. It is worse than they first diagnosed.
Sherman has batted .286 for his career with 347 hits, 70 doubles, 3 triples, 43 home runs, and 166 RBIs.
