Victory Pushes Patriots Record to 45-25
|
Boston Patriots starter Jesús Franco was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Atlanta Smoke, 4-3. Franco, now 9-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 3 earned runs. Folkert van Huizen, credited with the save, is now 16 for 19 in save opportunities.
Ramón Félix, who is rated as the 47th best prospect by BNN, aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
