Mena Whips Marquette Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 The Marquette Miners struggled at the plate today against Continentals hurler Javier Mena, who shackled them on 4 hits while hurling a complete game 2-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Miners skipper in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Mena finished the game with 3 strikeouts and no walks in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," his manager said. "Javier made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." This season Mena has crafted a 4-1 mark with a 2.68 ERA in 47 innings.
