SL News: Free Agents File

Today is the first day of the free agency period.
With the arrival of free agency comes the opportunity for each club across United States Silver League to propel themselves into the playoffs simply by making a few shrewd, well-calculated signings. General managers have to choose wisely where to spend their dollars. An expensive signing could be the key to a playoff spot or it could handcuff a franchise for years to come.
This year's key free agents include:
Keith Bridges, 32 year-old RF
Pat Farrell, 36 year-old LH CL
Virgil Eberle, 31 year-old RF
Curtis Fields, 31 year-old LH SP
Luis Muńóz, 34 year-old 3B
Chad Armstrong, 32 year-old 1B
Pablo Trujillo, 30 year-old RF
Emílio Sáenz, 30 year-old RF
Jorge Rosa, 28 year-old SS
Sozen Raikatuji, 34 year-old RH SP
Each GM has a different approach to free agency. Many fans enjoy this offseason maneuvering just as much as the regular season as they watch to see how the face of their team changes over the next several months.

SL News: Draft Pool Revealed

One of the few things certain about the 2022 first-year player draft is that it will be held 65 days from now. Today the SL announced its list of players filing for the event, though little is publicly known about any given player, sending scouts from each of the league's clubs scattering to uncover what they can in as little time as possible. Some clubs will draft the ideal prospect late, while others will stake their futures to big-name prospects, those deemed most likely to succeed by the fickle, nameless consensus.
A draft area has been created in the Transactions section for added functionality and will be available for 65 days prior to the draft.
The top players available (in no particular order) seem to be:
1. Ken Alexander, 20 year-old CF out of college.
2. Enrique Colón, 18 year-old CF out of high-school.
3. Ryan Green, 19 year-old RHP out of high-school.
4. Kevin Williams, 23 year-old SS out of college.
5. Alfredo Cardenas, 18 year-old RF out of high-school.
6. Simon Yusaf Khel, 21 year-old CF out of college.
7. Kent Murray, 19 year-old RHP out of high-school.
8. Michael Thomas, 19 year-old RHP out of high-school.
9. Santiago Maes, 19 year-old RHP out of high-school.
10. George Simon, 22 year-old RHP out of college.
