PL's Top Player Named Monday, August 21st , 2056 26-year-old Joe Saunders sent shock waves through United States Premier League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the United States Premier League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Saunders made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 8 hits in 16 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBI. Where the St. Louis Coeur center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Saunders certainly made his mark last week. In 77 games this season Saunders has compiled a .241 batting average with 67 hits and 10 home runs. He has also scored 26 times and knocked in 30 runs. |
