New Orleans used the timely hitting of Obke Veenman to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"It was just a matter of executing," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
