Rocketeers Suffer 5-1 Loss to Voodoo
|
Anthony Coleman never let Seattle get something going. The New Orleans right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Voodoo to a 5-1 win. Coleman, now 2-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The Rocketeers fall to 6-11 and continue their uneven start to the 2056 season.
New Orleans relied on the hitting of Pepe Santos to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Voodoo on top, 2-0. For the game, Santos had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's a mindset," said Coleman. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
