Howard Randolph never let the White Walkers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Lighthouse to a win, 4-0. Randolph went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-2. Roger Raper picked up the save, his 1st.
Jesús Serrano, the slugging first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Serrano contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Long Island up, 1-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Serrano told the Long Island Chronicle.
The win lifts Long Island to a record of 4-7.
