Rocketeers Edge Past Piranhas, 3-2

The Seattle Rocketeers had to overcome a fine effort from Panama City pitcher Clemenz Lawrence to grab a narrow 3-2 win at The Tank. Lawrence went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Ben van de Loo converted his 5th save in 6 tries. The win elevated the Rocketeers to 53-50.
Seattle used a timely hit from Chris Robbins to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We take it day by day here," said Robbins, "and today was a good one for us."
