Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Lighthouse
|
Boston first baseman Jean Kools had a good game, even if his team did not. The Patriots dropped a 7-6 decision to Long Island at Dunkin Donuts Park. Kools went 2 for 4 with a double and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs. Matt Jenkins picked up the save for Long Island, his 1st of the year. The 5th-place Lighthouse have a record of 50-52.
Jesús Serrano chipped in for Long Island, stroking a crucial 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 5 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
