Voodoo Win, 6-3, at Panama City
|
The 6-3 New Orleans win over Panama City was due in large part to Andrés Durán. The Voodoo first baseman was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. The save went to Elton Ray, number 1 for him. The win gives New Orleans a record of 6-4.
New Orleans used the bat of Steve Goodnight to capture the win. The catcher jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Goodnight.
