6 Straight Wins for White Walkers
|
Starting pitcher Volmer Aalbers pitched well enough to help the Buffalo White Walkers beat the Athletic Club KC, 7-4. Aalbers got the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. Aalbers allowed 4 runs. Mario Rosales recorded his 7th save for Buffalo.
Buffalo used the timely hitting of Olvido Doesburg to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the White Walkers ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Aalbers.
The Athletic Club KC, now 43-54, have lost 5 straight.
