The Long Island Lighthouse picked up a win at The Tank, knocking off the Panama City Piranhas, 4-1. On the mound for Long Island was right-hander Howard Randolph, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Randolph, now 12-6. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Imbart Theunen earned his 21st save in 22 chances.
The Lighthouse got a lift from designated hitter Sasha Mamchenko, who in the top of the fourth stroked a 2-2 fastball into center for a run-scoring single. It was his 84th hit of the season and put the Lighthouse ahead, 2-1.
"What we get, we earn," Randolph told the Long Island Chronicle.
