Rocketeers Absorb 3-2 Loss at Washington Stadium
|
The D.C. Divided eked out a 3-2 win versus the Seattle Rocketeers at Washington Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Les King. He was terrific. The Divided, at 37-45, have now won 5 straight.
The Divided got a big at-bat from first baseman Marvello Millon. For the game, Millon went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave D.C. a 3-1 lead.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth.
