The New Orleans Voodoo and Boston Patriots were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Boston Patriots got a strong performance from pitcher Iiri Lahti, who stymied the New Orleans offense en route to a win, 6-1, at Dunkin Donuts Park. The second-place Patriots are now 43-26, the Voodoo 39-30.

The Patriots got a big hit from second baseman Tyrone Higgins. In the bottom of the sixth, Higgins pounded a 2-run double to center. His 6th double of the season put the Patriots ahead, 5-1.

"I liked his command," said Boston manager Tyler Carter. "Iiri was throwing strikes."
