Boston Gets 6-3 Win
|
The Boston Patriots picked up a win at Wolf Den in Vancouver, knocking off the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 6-3. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Iiri Lahti, who played a pivotal role in the win. Lahti picked up the win for Boston, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 7-4. The Patriots, at 41-23, have now won 4 straight.
Boston used the timely hitting of José Cuebas to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Patriots ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
