Panama City Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
In a well-pitched game between the New Orleans Voodoo and the Panama City Piranhas, pitcher Larry Bryant was superb. The New Orleans left-hander helped his team win, 2-0. George Atwater earned the save for New Orleans, his 14th of the year. The Piranhas, now 27-36, have lost 4 in a row.
Also having an impact was designated hitter Mauro Quijano, who stroked a double in the bottom of the fourth for New Orleans. For the game, Quijano was 1-3 with a double and a walk.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
