Piranhas Defeat Rocketeers, 4-1
|
Santiago Proximo never let the Rocketeers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Piranhas to a win, 4-1. Min Der, now 2-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. With the win, the Piranhas have a record of 26-30.
Panama City won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Ben van de Loo on the mound for Seattle, third baseman Ishaan Swan hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Piranhas fans to their feet.
"No one can call baseball boring," said Piranhas manager Brian Talamante. "Not after a game like that."
