White Walkers Knock Off Voodoo at The Voodoo Lounge
|
The Buffalo White Walkers topped the New Orleans Voodoo by the score of 5-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Ernesto Valenzuela. Valenzuela went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the White Walkers on the day. Kyle Collins closed the game out for Buffalo, earning his 4th save. With the win, the White Walkers have a record of 21-30.
Buffalo used a well-timed hit by Octávio Cruz to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the White Walkers ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Buffalo manager Chris Lau said afterward.
