The Vancouver Grey Wolves got a strong performance from pitcher Fernando Ríos, who stymied the D.C. offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Harry Richter got credit for the save for Vancouver. It was his 6th of the year. Vancouver goes to 37-13. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.
Sang-Seung Yang, who is tied for 2nd in the PL with a .563 slugging percentage, chipped in for Vancouver with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
