The Vancouver Grey Wolves beat the D.C. Divided by a score of 3-2. Vancouver designated hitter Sang-Seung Yang deserved the lion's share of the credit. Yang went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Grey Wolves. Jorge Souza earned the win to go to 5-2. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Vancouver is now 36-13, 5 games up in the Premier League.
Yang had a timely hit for Vancouver in the bottom of the sixth. With D.C. trailing 2-0, he turned a 0-1 cutter into a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Vancouver.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Yang told the Vancouver Observer.
