Rocketeers Go Down to Defeat, 4-2
|
Boston rode a fine outing from starter Tai sun Rang to victory over the Seattle Rocketeers at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score was 4-2. Rang picked up the win for Boston, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The Patriots raised their record to 3-1.
Boston took a 4-1 lead on Victor de Bree's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which de Bree hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Seattle pitcher Duane Marks shaking his head.
"It was our day today," Rang told the Boston Times. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
