Patriots Best Piranhas in Pitching Duel
|
In a tight game between the Boston Patriots and the Panama City Piranhas, pitcher Bobby Bowles was terrific on the mound. The Boston right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. The save went to Dave Pickett, number 1 for him. The 'W' lifts Boston's record to 18-10.
Jorge Rocha, the Boston center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 2-1, Patriots. For the game, Rocha was 1 for 5.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Rocha.
