Vancouver starter Jorge Souza put a stranglehold on the D.C. offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Grey Wolves to a 7-0 win. The winning pitcher was Souza, now 2-2. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. The save went to Norman Davis, his 1st this season.

Vancouver used a well-timed hit by Wayne Jackson to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Souza said.

The Grey Wolves move to 19-5 with the win, while the Divided drop to 12-12.
