Mississippi, Toledo Trade Made Wednesday, August 4th , 2055 Mississippi and Toledo have agreed in principle to a trade. The Mockingbirds will send 19-year old minor league SS Armando Rivera, 21-year old minor league RF Arturo Carrión, 26-year old minor league RHP Quincy Rose, and $1 in cash to the Stingers for 30-year old LHP Tom Johnston. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete. Toledo will retain a portion of Johnston's remaining contract. This year Johnston has a 7-5 record with a 2.22 ERA in 17 starts. |
