Pittsburgh starter Todd Hunter had a strong outing against the Kingston Township Knights at Cloverdale Legion Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Pittsburgh is in 9th place in the Silver League with a record of 31-53.
Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of Brenton Hale to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson said.
