Raucous Athletics Park Crowd Propels Athletic Club KC to 2-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1

The Athletic Club KC nearly wasted a strong game from starter Conor March, but were saved by some timely hitting in a walk-off win over the Hollywood Shredders today.
March threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The win allowed Athletic Club KC to force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 ToC First Round.
Athletic Club KC won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Félix Hernández on the mound for Hollywood, left fielder Guillermo Dettori hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Athletic Club KC fans to their feet.
"We had a chance to win," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese, "but we didn't get it done."
The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 1st , 2055 at The Hollywood Bowl in West Hollywood.
