The inspired effort of Long Island left fielder Feitze Lammers was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-5, to the Baltimore Bullets. Lammers went 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Baltimore reliever Raúl Abreu got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Howard Randolph was tagged with the loss. The Bullets go to 29-42 with the win.
The Bullets benefited from an error in the top of the fifth inning. Baltimore was leading 3-2 when Arturo Prado hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Baltimore in front, 5-2.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Prado.
