Lighthouse Collect 6-5 Win Over Stingers
Long Island beat Toledo at The Lighthouse, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Kalino Iolana. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Long Island reliever Christopher Tracy picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Bernardo Hernández was saddled with the loss. At 41-27, the Lighthouse find themselves in second place in the Silver League.

The Lighthouse relied on center fielder Jerry Cure for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Iolana said.
