Stingers Lose to Lighthouse, 2-1
|
Long Island Lighthouse starter Howard Randolph pitched his team past the Toledo Stingers, 2-1. Randolph got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Randolph allowed 1 run. With the win, Long Island raised its record to 40-27.
The Lighthouse got a big hit from right fielder August Force. In the bottom of the fifth, Force pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 7th double of the season put the Lighthouse ahead, 2-0.
Randolph told a Long Island Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
