The Rocketeers faced a stiff challenge from New Orleans pitcher Volmer Aalbers, but persevered to claim a win at Boeing Dome. The final score was 2-0. Aalbers went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Duane Marks earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The loss drops the Voodoo to 11-6.
Seattle took a 2-0 lead on Dan Wells's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Wells hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New Orleans pitcher Volmer Aalbers visibly frustrated.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Wells.
