Starting pitcher Tom Johnston was a major factor in the 2-1 Toledo Stingers triumph over the Baltimore Bullets. Toledo pitcher Nelson Carrasco got the win. He's now 1-2. Gene Greene was tagged with the loss. The 9th-place Stingers sport a record of 20-37.

With the game on the line, Jeffrey Dale came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. And the Toledo center fielder came through, cracking a run-scoring single off Eddy Boyd, the Baltimore pitcher.

"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Dale.
