Lighthouse Beat Pittsburgh, 4-3

The Long Island Lighthouse wiggled past the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 4-3, at Pittsburgh Grounds. The win was highlighted by the performance of Long Island pitcher Aaron Daniels. Long Island reliever John Ellis picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Félix González shouldered the loss. Carlos Rosado recorded the save for Long Island, his 1st of the season.
Long Island used the clutch hitting of Kalino Iolana to snag the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito.
The Lighthouse saw their record improve to 29-21.
