Oakland beat Toledo on the strength of starter Tom Pegum's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. Pegum, now 3-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Oakland bumps their record to 27-21 with the win.
Oakland took control in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ostoja Popovic hit a 2-run double to make it 3-1, Oaks.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Pegum told the Oakland Observer.
