Getting a good performance from left fielder Bai-luo Kao, the Detroit Elite defeated the Toledo Stingers, 11-7. Kao was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Elite. The winner was Detroit reliever James Spencer, now 1-0. The loser was Jong-beom Park. Detroit is in third place in the Silver League with a record of 24-19.

Detroit used a clutch hit from Ron Pollard to snatch the win. The right fielder belted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Elite ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Pollard said. "We did a good job of that today."
