Thompson K's 11 En Route to 2-1 Mockingbirds Win
|
The Mississippi Mockingbirds got a stellar performance from pitcher Alex Thompson, who handcuffed the Oakland offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Magnolia Park. With the victory, the Mockingbirds record now stands at 12-16.
Thompson threw well for Mississippi, thwarting the Oakland offense. The right-hander tossed 100 pitches over 7.1 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 1 hit.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Thompson.
