Voodoo Top Cattlemen, 4-2
|
The New Orleans Voodoo withstood an impressive performance by Ft. Worth first baseman Louis Bletsoe to defeat the Cattlemen, 4-2, at The Voodoo Lounge. Bletsoe was 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. Elton Ray, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. The first-place Voodoo are now 57-36, the Cattlemen 47-46.
New Orleans grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Jesús Bonilla delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Voodoo.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Bonilla told the New Orleans Gazette.
