Cattlemen Lose Again, 8-6, to White Walkers
|
The Buffalo White Walkers handed the Ft. Worth Cattlemen a loss at The Cattle Pen. The final score was 8-6. Major production was provided by Benno Luby for Buffalo. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. He also added 1 walk. Reliever Johnny Flannery picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Joe Wagner took the loss. Mario Rosales closed it out for his 14th save.
Buffalo grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Luby, who finished 3rd in the PL in wins above replacement with 4.6 in 2046, hit a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season put the White Walkers out in front, 8-5.
"I'm proud to wear a Buffalo jersey," Luby told the Buffalo Today. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
With the win, Buffalo pushed its record to 45-43.
