A good performance from center fielder Francisco De La Cruz helped the New Orleans Voodoo defeat the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 7-6. De La Cruz went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Voodoo. George Atwater picked up the save, his 17th. New Orleans is first in the Premier League with a record of 53-35.

New Orleans used the clutch hitting of Andrés Durán to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 7-6. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Durán.
