Cattlemen Stymie Vancouver, Take 2-0 Win

The Cattle Pen hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring affair between the Ft. Worth Cattlemen and the Vancouver Grey Wolves, pitcher Chase Davis was the difference between victory and defeat. The Ft. Worth left-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 Cattlemen win. The save was credited to Luke Corner, his 24th.
Making an impact for Ft. Worth was center fielder Juan Raspaldo. He drilled a triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Raspaldo went 1-3 with a triple.
"We didn't score," said losing manager David Krause. "That was the problem."
The Cattlemen are now 46-35, while the Grey Wolves fall to 44-37.
