Pandas Lose Again, 5-2, to Patriots
|
Boston pitcher Fred Koch did his part in helping his team beat the Montana Pandas, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Boston reliever Martin Luther picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Gabel Ambrosius was saddled with the loss. Mitch Henley finished the game for Boston and earned his 9th save.
Gilberto Silva, who is tied for 7th in the PL in extra base hits with 34, aided the Boston cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Koch called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
The slumping Pandas have dropped 13 in a row.
