Voodoo Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
Dunkin Donuts Park was the site of a competitive game between the New Orleans Voodoo and Boston Patriots.
Boston Patriots starter José Gonzáles turned in an exceptional performance against the New Orleans Voodoo at Dunkin Donuts Park, resulting in a Boston win, 3-1. The third-place Patriots sport a record of 37-30.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Bill Zimmerman came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing New Orleans pitcher Elton Ray, he hit a full count fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 3-1.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
