5 Straight Wins for Voodoo
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Pepe Santos, the New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 7-5. Santos went 2-5 with 2 home runs for the Voodoo. The winner was Ronnie Gómez in relief. His record improves to 12-1. Joe Wagner took the loss. New Orleans now sits in first place in the Premier League at 38-20.

The outcome might have been different for New Orleans, had it not been for Eduardo López, the 2052 Newcomer of the Year Award winner . López stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put New Orleans up, 6-5. For the game, he was 3 for 3, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"I believe in our guys," said New Orleans skipper Chase Sims. "I like the energy they're playing with."
