Rocketeers Lose to Piranhas, 7-1
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Panama City starter Chris Jackson had a strong outing against the Seattle Rocketeers at The Tank. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-1 win. Panama City, at 24-31, occupies 9th place in the Premier League.
Rubén Jusino dealt the Rocketeers a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Panama City leading 2-1, Jusino, who is the 2054 Gold Bat winner, hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Jusino told the Panama City Gazette.
