White Walkers Lose By a Run at Vancouver, 5-4
Buffalo got a terrific game from right fielder Hsiao-lou Rui. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Vancouver, 5-4. Rui was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Fernando Ríos. He's now 3-2. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the Grey Wolves. Norman Davis earned save number 7 this season.

The White Walkers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Grey Wolves going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 32-year old center fielder Marcos Janero came to the plate. Janero hit a bases-clearing double on a first pitch fastball from Buffalo hurler David O'Farrell. It was Janero's 12th double of the year.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Janero, "and then get after it again."

The third-place Grey Wolves have won 4 in a row.
