Cattlemen Defeat Grey Wolves, 7-5
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen topped the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 7-5, in United States Premier League action at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The game was highlighted by the performance of Ft. Worth pitcher Javier Ariza. Ft. Worth bumps their record to 32-19 with the win.
Ft. Worth needed the clutch hitting of Mhelter Tejano to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Cattlemen on top, 7-5. For the game, Tejano had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Ariza.
