Ft. Worth Downs Panama City, 4-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Bobby Bowles, Ft. Worth beat Panama City by the score of 4-1. The winning pitcher was Bowles, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. The loss drops Panama City to 2-3.
Ft. Worth used the timely hitting of Louis Bletsoe to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cattlemen ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Bowles.
